Does Z32 Afm Require New Ecu/safc ?

as title suggests, if i guet a Z32 AFM do i need a new computer for it to work proper ?

What kind of ECU are you running, standard or aftermarket? You shouldnt have to replace anything, can be tuned for use with the Z32 AFM easily.

If its a power-fc it even has presets for it

you should need some form of ecu since the afm reads differently. it would probably run ok but it would screw your mixtures up. a safc has a preset for it, as does a power fc.

Question is, why do you want the Z32 AFM?

The reason most would use one is to give more overhead on the AFM voltage to allow the ECU to measure more air mass because of power upgrade mods.

The only way to do this is with changing all Fuel/Timing maps to suit mods in the ECU.

So the std ECU has to be ROM Re-Mapped or replaced with an aftermarket ECU (PowerFC or similar)
