How To Remove R32 Gearstick

Can anyone tell me how to remove the gearstick from an r32gtst. I am removing the engine and gearbox but one of the bolts on the gearbox is stripped. I want to move the box (still attached to the engine) forward to get at it easier but I need to take out the stick so it can move. Can anyone help out?

Whip out the circlip pliers and remove circlip, after you remove the rubber boot?

Yeah, saw the circlip there, but it just looked like there was something needed to come off before that. Like there was a ring on top of it or something?

once you have all the rubber boots and crap off, just get the circlip pliers onto it. to make it a bit easier as you squeeze it in wedge a flat screwdriver under it to pop it up.

Popped out the circlip. Not wrong about that thing flying! The stick came straight out after that. Thanks for the help guys. Now to get the stripped bolt out....
