IanB
Hi A few questions - After having my car alarm installed, I have noticed that my stock boost gauge does not work anymore. Additionally, while I now have keyless entry, I have noticed that the centeral locking only works from one side, the drivers side - locking the passanger door will not lock the drivers door. Is this normal? Also, with the stock boost gauge not working (in actual fact, it works, but doesnt seem to get a signal, its stuck on 0PSI but the car is most definatly boosting) does this mean the ECU has NFI what boost is being put into the engine? Thanks for your help. Ian Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/142690-car-alarm-issues/ Share on other sites
Howie
I had a similar thing happen to mine, stopped working properly after an alarm install. I think it's grounding related. Anyhow if you find the cause let me know. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/142690-car-alarm-issues/#findComment-2658431 Share on other sites
Chris Rogers
CDL was always off the drivers door. boost gauge could well be a fault in the guage, depends on what was tapped into. IanB
Found the fault. When they were running the wires for the alarm, they actually snapped off the little tit bit that the vacuum line connects to on the stock sender. I have had a chat to them about it and they have agreed to replace the sender for free. Next issue is the door sensor for the drivers side door does not work. When you open or close the door the light doesn’t work, never has done, I tried today swapping the sensors around last night and had more or less the same error, the sensor that came off the drivers side door did work but it was blinky when put on the passenger side, however when putting the working passenger side sensor on the drivers side it still did not work. I do not believe replacing the sensor will fix the problem. Any ideas? Chris Rogers
sounds like the isolation diode is cactus. its in the drivers kickpanel about halfway up the harness. should have a red/wht wire running into it.
