R34 Airbox Snorkel Doesn't Fit

Hey,

I just got a hybrid front mount intercooler put on to my r34 gt-t skyline and am still using the stock airbox.

The snorkel that goes from the airbox to the front of the car doesn't fit anymore because of the intercooler piping.

So at the moment it is just sucking the air from the engine which is bad.

So i figured alot of you would know how to over come this.

So do i buy a custom made snorkel?

Get a new air box?

Get a pod?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

either a pod, or if u dont already have one an aftertmarket panel, and some kind of custom air diversion ...pipes/diversion plates whatever, dunno if you can buy ready made ones for 34 or not though

I'm told that all you do is heat the snorkle with a heat gun then bend it to shape.

AlexCim had a good DIY on how he modified the stock snorcal to suit the new cooler piping. Chopped off the bit that was rubbing and plastic welded it shut again.

Yer i found his thread its http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=92828&hl= if anyone else wants it. Thats sounds like a good idea, but i think i will try find another snorkel first so i still have all my stock parts if needed later.

Does anyone think going a POD and making a box for it would be a better idea? whats you experiences and recommendations? keep the box and modify the snorkel?
