Rev Limiter on Skylines - Fuel or Ignition?

Hey all,

Just wondering if the rev limiter is fuel or ignition cut?

Is it bad to bit the revlimiter, just say for a couple of seconds?

An Ignition cut would explain flames out of the exhaust yes?

its not recommended to leave it on the limiter

a mate told me that i had flames out of my exhaust when i changed from 2nd to 3rd? would he be correct? i thought i hit the clutch before the rev limiter tho.

a5h: i have spat flames before, so have many others by not hitting the revlimiter. It seems thats its quite normal. I wouldnt worry about it

actually that normally points to the "no cat" syndrome which is a 10,000 dorra fine or more.

hmmm... im starting to have this feeling inside, that my car has been pumped up to some sort of monster car, its got phuk loads of power when boost comes on and two blow off valves, i have no idea why 2 would be needed. then again perhaps its just that it has more power than my old '87 230 Benz

Ull all shoot flames if u take off ur cats, mainly cause 90% of u will be running pretty damn rich
