ok...

i made the unfortunate mistake of using mild steel for my FMIC pipes.

After a year or so, the pipe after the cooler has started to rust quite a bit :D

I am having the pipe cleaned now, but what can i do to rust proof the pipe?? I cant afford to pay another $400 to have that 1 pipe remade.

HPC would be perfect, but they are in VIC :(

Can i galvinaise it??... What do Nissan use on the stock pipes?? powder coating? Or is there any other thing i can dip it in, etc??

Any help or advice would be much appriciated,

cheers

i'll check that option out inark :(

I have the pipe at the workshop being cleaned off at the moment...

The thing is the pipe is quite long and has a few bends, so i dont know if the powder coating will be able to reach all the way in, since it is a sprayed on thing :D

Any other options i should check out??

cheers

ummmm.... which pipe is it? the one from the plenum to the cooler? is it a stock setup? do u have any pics?

i reckon powder coating should do the trick... i guess theres only one way to find out... take it somewhere and see what they say.

not sure if theres anything else u can do...
