I'm confused.

How much for the 4 x 17x9's? I am considering them for a track set for my GTR but without a definate offset I am a bit dubious about whether they'll fit over my calipers.

Oh, and in the first post you state the tyres are Toyo's, but in the pic you can cleary see 'Trampio' ... So which is it?

Christian

Hey Christian,

I was looking for $800 for the four 17" x 9" wheels without tyres but I will be looking to have them sold by early next year ( need storage space ) so the prices are becoming more negotiable :P

I think the offset is +25 but I can't decipher the code on the back of the wheels enough to confirm this. More than happy to play trail fitting if you're / anyone's interested. They have a pretty big x factor so should clear your calipers no problems.

The tyres are TOYO Trampio Gu:wn ( TPG ) Silica tread and very firm shoulder blocks.

Two 235/45ZR17 97W and Two 255/40ZR17 94W

Cheers, Scott.

OK, I've just been told what the correct offsets are ( I hope these are correct :P ) so I'll amend the first post to reflect.

and....

I've just been told that the 17x9" +17 offset will fit well on R32 GT-R and perfectly on R33 & R34 GT-R's.

hi there,

do u still have the pair of 17 x 8 for sell?

how much do they weight and what's the country of manufacture???

thanks.

Hi,

I don't know the exact weight of the 17x8's but they are around the same weight as an R32 GT-R wheel. For an aftermarket wheel ( that's not top shelf ), that's pretty light !

As for where they're made, I don't know. The sticker on the inside of the rims with Japanese writing on it is a Japanese standards approval sticker if that means anything.

JAWA ( Wheel devision ) is like JASMA ( Exhaust devision ).

hi there.

in the pictures at the top with them on your GTS-t, are they the 8" on the front and 9" on the rear?

have you rolled/lipped the guards at all?

Hi,

Yeah, 8" on the front and 9" on the rear. And yep, the guards were rolled front and rear since the car was lowered.

If you fitted more narrow tyres to the rims you wouldn't need to roll the guards ( eg 215 Front & 235 Rear ).

Cheers.

All PM's replied to. Cheers for the enquiries :(

Just to clear up one point that a few have asked about. I firmly believe that the 17x9's would not fit under the front guards of a GTS-t ( but will fit the front of a GT-R ).

All PM's repied to.

Just so everyone understands, the reason I don't want to send them interstate is in the past I have had problems with parts being damaged in transit ( no matter how well I packed them ) and have had huge hassles trying to claim on insurance through the couriers afterwards. Also they always want to charge me more than they seem to charge anyone else ( from what people tell me they pay ).

With these wheels, I gave in twice to 2 different people on this forum who were going to organise a courier to come pick the wheels up. I had the 17x9's all wrapped up and ready for a courier to collect and on each occasion, the buyer pulled out. Then, I get other guys who say they wants to come look at them, so I un-pack them all and then they never shows up ( and so on, and so on ).

For local buyers I've even offered to let them try a wheel on before they buy ( which I would bring to a place within reason ).

So, I'm sorry if there are any "REAL" buyers out there ( local or interstate ) but I'm sick of trying to help people out and getting screwed around time and time again.

I'm going to put them up on eBay this weekend but up until that time this is my final offer on the wheels "COLLECTED ONLY" Either set for $600 or all 6 wheels for $800.

Cheers, Scott.

After many beers lst night, myself & a mate went down to the garage and took a good look at the wheels.

Turns out I have something of a mixed bag. :( We figured out all the offset's etc. So, I've taken fresh pics and have updated the first post to reflect the correct info ( FINALLY ).

Considering all this, I figured I better post this up one last time ( for those who honestly were interested ) before I send them to eBay.

Sorry for the mix-up everyone and it just goes to prove that beer fixes everything !! ;)

    • It only looks tidy, as most of the stuff that was on the whole back wall, is now in the trailer to go to the tip, or has been shoved in my 2.2x2.4m "Spare parts room", and now I can't get to anything in there Ha ha ha I could definitely do with a bit more space, but I'd just end up with your problems I'm going to enclose the car port beside the garage, and move a lot of stuff into it I think. OR... It will be setup as a fabrication area, and the main garage will have parts storage in it. I'm not sure yet... Need some pictures of that big shed you've got with the bikes and Skyline in
    • No. I think it's gone. 😭 I think you can get body coloured ones on eBay so I think I'll get one of those... Or just hang a red ribbon from the hole and whack a TOW sticker next to it.
    • Can't say I've had a bad experience with one on my car, then again it only gets washed once or twice a year... The wheels on the other hand, get a good spray often due to my shitty dusty pads.
    • @MBS206 thats pretty neat and tidy to me!  I'll get a photo of mine when I'm out there next. It might require multiple photos to understand the scale of the atrocities though... In total I have 4 sheds of varying sizes and layouts. Main shed is 14x8, second shed is 3x8, third shed is 11x2.5, fourth shed is around 6x4.  All are pretty much full.   The main goal of my cleaning tsunami is to make the main shed predominantly car and motorbikes only. Second shed is my metal fab room (2 x bench grinders, drill press, bench belt sander, metal band saw, scrap metal storage and some of my garden tools.  3rd shed is more bigger garden stuff, storage for engine crane, jack stands, concrete grinder, concrete mixer, air compressor lives there, and it now has two 2mx2m pallet racking shelves with itemised boxes holding building stuff, electrical stuff, plumbing stuff, etc, etc.  The 4th shed is Ryobi electric ride on mower, mini boom sprayer, ancient Kubota tractor, more garden stuff!  I have got a lot of shit....  Then there's the pool house (8mx4m) and the pool pump shed (4mx4m).  I built all of the sheds over the 11 years we've been here.  The main shed was a Ranbuild kit, the rest are all custom made to fit the areas available. Building the main shed taught me a LOT as I had no idea about building anything prior to that!  I've still got one more in me. It will be my man cave which I poured the extra concrete for way back when I poured the concrete for the main shed. The idea is the Skyline will be a centre piece of the main cave once (if...) it's finished.  I told my now 14 year old son yesterday that I will 100% drive him to his year 10 formal in 2 years. Still a long way off but at least I now have a date to work towards! 🤣
    • Modern oils are amazing. Add tyres to that as well.
