Haha would love to but being a P-Plater in Victoria I can't drive an R33 GTSt, only an R33 GTS or an R32 GTSt.

Anyway, I went to Daalder Exhausts in Dandenong on Thursday and got them to put a new exhaust on and then do the EPA test. They put a 2.5" system from the cat-back, through two mufflers and then just a standard piece of 2.5" pipe out the back.

This configuration measured exactly 90dB... so I'd love to see what the old one would have reached!

Anyway, all up it cost me about $350 including the test, but I was really interested to see if it went any better than before...

It does. The power (well... if you can call it that on a NA ) comes in a lot earlier on in the rev range... there is no longer the noticeable bogging down between gears (well, very minor at worst), but it still doesn't sound anywhere near as nice as it did

So all in all, I'd say that the change in size from 3" to 2.5" certainly resulted in a more drivable car, and especially since the turbo option is off-limits for at least another 9 months, I think it was worth it.
