Get your engine compression tested first to see if it is actually "tired". I know RB20s feel a bit tired to me after being in my car with a RB25.

I'd def go the RB25 over the RB26. Heck even stock in a R32 they go nice and quick. Just do the usual turbo, power fc, turbo back exhaust with bigger cat, pod filter and fuel support upgrades and you're laughing.

260kw in a R32 would be crazy fun and fast too boot. 3500 for half cut, $5000 on upgrades (turbo, fuel support, exhaust) then add labour.

But remember... you've got general maintence of a older car to deal with. Since buying mine I've replaced all the wheel studs, rear suspension, front wheel bearings, front tyres and I'm due for a major service soon. Only mod I've managed to put on is a new pod filter.

I'd say your best option in reality is a RB20 with a bigger turbo and some other upgrades. 1.5k for half cut, sell the gearbox as you have one already or swap and sell. Prefer a rebuild for realiability (you should rebuild anything you put in to be safe) and then just put the usual performance mods. If you do pistons, rods etc... you can put some decent power down with a RB20.

All choices, all expensive! Or, replace with a standard RB20 in better condition (or one that has been rebuilt, some go for cheap), enjoy it for what it is, save up, sell yours and buy a R32 GTR, R33 GTS-T.
