definately looks like a base model RS four. But im inclined to think its a 25t X Four.

This model came with wood grain, optional privacy glass but is supposed to have a front spoiler and fog lamps.

You may want to check it out.

'Tis a 97. and does anyone one have any more info on this ARX variant? I wouldn't mind finding out a bit more - and it is definately badged up as a RS Four

May be the 97 version, just an option i guess. Could be the ARX style before they started badgin thtem as such, was what i was implying. Definitely looks like the soft-roader version. Maybe the lip was an optional extra that everyone but errr.... your cars previous owner opted for? Same as the glass? But for some reason the dude couldnt live without his woodgrain.

Jays is a 96, same colour, and has the lip and privacy glass, badges as RSfour, mine is 97, same colour, and also has the lip and privacy glass, so its not a year-model issue.

Never seen woodgrain though...

Yours looks just like the brochure car, which is also badged RSfour, but has a grille that noone here has. (again - til i get mine this week...)

Once I have my sweaty lil mits on the keys to "Z Beast" then I may change my handle, but I am having toomuch fun learning from all you fine people to bother right now :P

Haha nice. Well it could be worse - ive had the handle 'qikstagea' for more than a year and mine is probably the slowest on here hey. in a few days ill show you wat your stagea looks like with a Nismo bodykit and 18s hey. I get it back from the shop soon.

Did you find out much about the history of your stagea? as far as why yours is the only one to surface on SAU without the front lip? Hey have a look under you front bar to see if there was ever a lip bolted on there ie are there bolt holes etc... very curios. yours is a one of a kind, dale.

I will be getting it on Tues this week so I will know for sure, but when I went to have a look at it, there were no obvious holes etc from where it might have been removed, but don't quote me on it yet.

The really weird thing about the car is the fact that it has been in the country since 2003. It was actually the 3rd Stagea to be complianced in WA.

More details as they come to hand.

Nah - I had to put it back until Thursday due to work commitments, and I will be busy all thursday and friday rolling naked across the bonnet moaning "mine mine mine" so I may be able to chuck some pics up on Saturday sometime

:)

    • Nah no bearings, just slip fit.  Would be a reasonably challenging but not impossible job to modify it to run bearings but I'm hoping that's not necessary as I may have well built one myself if I end up spending hours modifying it!
    • Brumbys with good shells are bloody expensive, I've looked at 2 "cheaper" cars, and walked away from both,  plus after some research spare parts are fairly sparce I'm starting to think that I missed the boat on finding a clean one that is straight (ish) and without alot rust I'm starting to think about a old Hilux as panels and other parts are much more available as they sold tens of thousands of them I use to be indecisive but now I'm not sure
    • A Brumby would probably fit a big metal toolbox in the back... this is how it begins
    • Picked up a new OEM boot seal for the MX5 today as the old one got ripped a bit by me being a idiot by seeing if I could fit a large metal tool box in it, it didn't fit, and ripped the seal with the corner of the tool box I am still waiting on time to get the cams and new balancer installed, as well as the repairs to the boot Time will not be an issue soon though
