Sorry, i have been meaning to get back to this thread but i have been very busy lately.

The R32 ecu does not have the hardware output to run the vct. You can make an r32 map to run an r33 but you lose vct control.

This seems to be a popular topic at the moment so i will get together all the info i have for r33 and put it up here sometime this week.

Hey there i was under the impression that you couldnt tune a stock r32 gtst ECU ,now my car has a idle problem and slight miss after changing just about everything at big costs i read a few threads and was told that my stock ECU might have issuse and that i might need to get it remaped ,this is the million dollar question how much and where or who could do this to help my ECU ?

I would like to know how the timing relates between the CAS and the timing map.

What I mean is by timing on the cas is set to 15 BTDC and using my ecutalk it shows 15 deg at idle but as soon as it is revving it shows the timing from the computer map. I am running 18 degrees of timing from full boost to redline. how does this relate to the CAS. If i advance the timing on the CAS to 16 BTDC does this mean I will be running more timing at full boost?

Thankyou All

All it means is that if the map states 16degree's then the ecu places 1 degree advance into the overall ignition timing.

18degree's and it places 3degree's advance.

If your base ignition is out then the map ignition values won't be correct. i.e if your base cas ignition is 16degree's then the maps 18degree's will really be 19degree's.

So unless you are unable to manipulate the maps ignition table there's absolutely no point running out of spec ignition cas timing.

still some news on r33 stock ecu tuning would be nice.

Its a bitch to do because the R33 eprom that needs to be changed is a surface mount component. Its possible, its just a pain in the ass to do if you don't have the right equipment i.e. surface mount reflow station
