I've found a hks cast exhaust manifold - used.

Facts: Its an external wastegate ported manifold with a T04 turbo mount.

Now the questions:

Can it be changed to a T3? I'm told this can be done.

Whats best leave as a T04 or change it to T3? Does this weaken the unit?

I was going to get it checked, decked, extrude honed, coated etc so it could be changed at the same time.

I wanted to run with a GT3076R [it was gunna be a IW but now I have the hks manifold it will be a WG], thus the change to T3.

If it can't be changed to a T3, can you get the GT3076 in T04? [i'll also check the turbobygarrett and ATP site on this one].

Comments and help appreciated.

If it's a split-pulse manifold like this one

then you don't want to try modifying the flange (you will find it very hard to weld the 'split'

part of a new flange on).

You also want to check it for cracks, like the ones displayed in that pic.

If its what I think it is its flanged for the RB26 head not RB20/25 . Originally part of a kit with their old dinosaur TA45S turbo .

ATP do a .82 and 1.06 AR T4 flanged housings but I think only for the GT35 turbine ie GT3582R and not integral waste gated . I think the 1.06 is split flange TO4 and the 0.82 open or single entry .

Nice for RB26/30 .

The one shown in the picture is definately from an rb26 ta45 kit. (nice crack btw)

The rb20/25 specific models seem to have a wider flange specifically to allow either a t3 or t4 turbine housing to be used. What i don't know is if the size of the outlet from the manifold is bigger on the t4 ones.

surely is. I have one down in the shed its a laser cut t3 tigged onto a laser cut t4 with studs screwed in to each side.

This is the one! Brought and paid for, coming to a street near me!

Its already been set up for the T3 turbo mount, just gotta check the threads etc are OK.
