I've noticed that one side of my heater unit does not light up anymore, upon removing the unit and having a look I found that it used unusual looking globes, almost like tiny UFOs! and it had like a rubbery blue cover over the globe.

Anyone know where to get these from? or maybe someone has a spare unit that all or some globes are working?

Cheers!

go to jaycar or altronics in northbridge, take a globe in with you and someone there to find you something similar

LEDs should cost you anywhere between $0.20 to $6.00 or you can buy a pack of 100 for $14.00

Haha $21 that’s ridiculous

Mikeys self pimpage never ends :D

What you can do is break the glass in the bulb and solder a resistor and LED in there. White ones only cost a few dollars and are a lot brighter than any incandescent light. The resistor should be about 330 ohms for most LEDs, if you got the specs of the LED I can calculate it for you.

There are different kinds of led's, and i don't know how the inside of the thingy looks, but i needa take it out in 3 mths time to replace the bulb as mine has blown too. Buy wide angle leds thou. Or you can buy the leds that change colour on their own. Nice touch to have a clown lookin AC unit :)
