Hey guys, well I'm putting my R33 sedan on the market because I cant be bothered doing it up and spending money that I should be spending on more important things like house etc etc, and I'm thinking of downgrading to an R32 with a lot of mods.

Has anyone done what I'm planning? How does the R32 compare, favourably? Or lighter, smaller, more unreliable etc.

Its going to be mainly a weekend car, with relatively frequent highway trips.

I want one with an RB25, anyone know of any for sale with this? I can deal with the RB20 but I have to admit it will be tough losing all that torque.

This is my car for sale by the way. $16k firm. Auto. 116XXX kms. Stock, good stereo, alarm. Near perfect condition.

Yeah I agree its not downgrading its still going to cost the same to run as your current car maybe even more if your planning on buying a modified one... Food for thought.

4 door is still more practical than 2 as well.

Chris

import an r32 gtst with some mods done already, the japs know what the deal is :D

He wants one already modified with an RB25 - that would be pretty tough to get through SEVS as an import! Better off searching for one already in Oz.

Or get a 1988 Cefiro with an RB25DET and bring it in through RAWS instead

Nah sick of four doors.

I mean downgrade in that the car itself is cheaper, and will save me thousands upon thousands in future mods. I have a few cars in mind already, all of them already in Australia.

Im thinking that importing might be a waste of time because I dont want some super stiff riding ex drift car thats been thrashed out. There's quite a few highly modified very clean cars in Australia that have had mods done that suit Australia better.

If I can find one in Australia with an RB25, cool. If not, no biggie, RB20's still go hard.
