Plastic Speedo To Cable Bit R32

the plastic bit between the speedo and cable keeps snapping or comming loose so i lose my speedo and thus lose the speed sensative power steering. im getting sick of it.

anyone know who makes a replacment part thats metal or non breakable??

why do they make them out of brittle plastic, stupid design

Get a maccas straw and fit it over plastic + super glue. 2 years and still going strong!!!

I found mine was the speedo itself chewing up cables. Replaced the speedo and installed the 3rd speedo drive in the space of 3 weeks and it hasn't broken another one in 2 years.

nah ive looked at it and its just a split down the side of the plastic bit. will give the maccas straw a go thow.

is the bit your talking about that white bit that protrudes the cluster at the back? mines cracked down the side.

This idea of a maccas straw and fitting it over the plastic doesnt compute in my mind. the plastic bit is a lot bigger than the maccas straw.

The maccas or hungry jacks straw (I can't remember exactly what brand!!) worked for me.

straw was to big. couldnt find one that would fit snug so i used eletrical tape, cut two slots in it so it would be tighter and used a fair bit of arldite, it worked all day at the drift prac so hopefuly it holds forever
