Starion turbo...

you to are known to be some what of a WANKER...

still up on ur high horse being some what of a PIG, were in your previous comments you QUOTE

"Bring Adequate fuel and a good attitude"

"I dunno what hypo MCCR shit your talkin about but the runs we have up there are fairly small and everyone enjoys themselves"

1... you didnt bring the good attitude

2... everyone didnt enjoy themselfs due to YOUR attitude.

3... Its a cruise not a sunday drive so yes ppl are suposed to be going quick not slow, because if they wanted a sunday drive theyd go through mt dandy.

your right, i am somthing else, i know how to drive, I was about to ask you if i could have the keys to your car so i could show u how to drive a cef, as u obviesly dont know.

I take it you havnt been on many cruises givin your previous quote stating you dont know what an mccr hypo is.

Heres the general rule of thumb on a cruise...

if theres a quicker car behind you LET them pass...

and 4...

us 3 in the BMW's are all mechanics and we sure as hell can tell that ur car isnt in rwc... so as a POLICE officer dont you think you should put a canary sticker on your car??? or maybe i should inform pettit about UNL5HD...

If you want to go the hard way... we can do things the hard way...

Like i said at the meet, its nice to know that were all friends here...

It was sad to see you upholding the police's reputation of them being called cops especially on whats suposed to be a friendly cruise.

And as you were the event organiser YOU are suposed to go and chat to the ppl attending the cruise to give them a run down of were and whats happening and just to introduce youself to get more of a friendly enviroment, which is also how i can tell your a noob...

thanks for your time Kim Fernando and I hope I dont come across you again as im sure you'll keep up your reputation as a bum as CONNECTIONS inform me you dont even have a job...

ROFL

Im sure your senior managers would love to hear what you were doing in the company cars. Funny, its good having connections in european dealerships. Great having a family member running a company like Wurth :P

Jealousy is a killer mate. Great to know where you live Maciek.

By the way you couldnt drive a cef if your life depended on it, thats why it sits out the front all banged up. Have you ever BEEEN on the track at winton or calder?

Also with the car - Perfect tyres, Airbox, intercooler and legal catback!! Sure as not RWC ey!

MANG, this is fcuked.. lock the thread..

i invited my mate with you guys in the bmw's, and if you wanted to cruise with us then you should drive in the right manor, or what the group wanted too, everyone else had a good time and didnt have a problem. Grow up and just let it go. Kim's done nohting wrong.

Exactly as Brad said, I have forgotten about it I just wanted to let you guys know in future to be a little more careful on the roads especially the types we were driving in.

I am a good person and I can and have got along with many people on this site for over 4 years.

look im sorry but you do have a bit of a history for those type of events

just dont wanna see someone write their car off or hurt, then its back onto your shoulders and the clubs

What are you on about mate? What history? Pfft.

Do you even drive your car or do you just like drive it to autosalon and show and shines only?

yeah, spot on mate...Paul never drives his car anywhere....:(

oh f**k get over it guys.. I had a alright time, although I need to build up more confidence going up those twisties.. (hence why I stayed at the back). And you guys in the beemas were driving like typical wankers on the way down there. But whatever, as long as you dont do it near me then I couldn't care less.

    • Have you put an aftermarket oil pressure gauge on and verified your oil pressure?   Noise being on the block, on exhaust side, how high up the block does it seem to be? It could be the VCT system getting cranky, especially if it's mainly at idle, and when warm, as that'll be your lowest point for oil pressure. Could be showing that oil passages / VCT solenoid are blocking.
    • Well, hydraulic lifters will get noisy if they are dirty/fouled in some way, and exactly how that manifests will depend on exactly what schmutz is where. There is a procedure on here somewhere for dismantling and soaking/cleaning them. Replacing them with new is about 50% of the work and about 5% of the money!
    • Thanks for the reply @GTSBoy this is is a hydraulic lifter engine. Yea right i did not realise the lifters were supposed to be compressible while installed. I could push them down but i had to lean almost my while body weight on them.  I have never heard of a lifter/ lifters ticking only at hot idle and getting worse the hotter it gets. I have owned a few jdm cars with noisy lifters. This noise is slightly more subtle, it is more of a sharp gentle metalic tic than the solid and more loud tapping I've heard on lifters. I have used a metal rod, alloy tube, hose and stethoscope and could not find the source of the tick. But it appears to be loudest on the actual engine block behind the exhaust cam gear and next to the oil filter. I had mate (40 year old mechanic) go over it with me and he couldn't find it either..  Could it be a cam seal issue of some sort?  Cheers
    • This seems problematic and unlikely at the same time. Vanilla RB2Xs have hydraulic lifters. They do have "zero" clearance, but only when running with oil pressure inside them. When not running, you should be able to compress them and obtain heaps of clearance. RB26s and Neos have solid lifters. They should have ~0.3mm and ~0.5mm on the inlet and exhaust respectively. If they have zero clearance then bad things are happening. With nothing else being wrong, it would mean that the valves would be held slightly (ever so slightly) open when they are supposed to be closed and it should have all sorts of problems when running, caused by leakage in/out through the valves. Or, zero clearance can indicate severe valve seat recession. None of it is good. Have you used a piece of hose as a stethoscope to try to localise the noise?
