i think speeding in a school zone should be loss of licence straight away if during school hours .when you have kids yourself you will understand .look at that poor kid sophie 2nd time hit speed driver thru school zone . gee if ya cant even slow down for kids ya dont deserve to have a car . if you got done out of school hrs i hope ya dont get much of a fine if it was during school hours i hope ya walk for 6 months

cheers have a nice day

Sophie didn`t get hit by a speeding driver any how 1st time it was some old dude that had a heart attack the 2nd time the driver wasn`t speeding

Roads are built for Motorvehicles. If your on the road and your not in a car you had better be even more aware of surroundings.

The shift in responsibility is wrong. Kids might be kids but they also end up dead kids.

Parents have a duty of care for their own children and teaching them road safety. Children under 8 have not developed adequate sound, depth perception and have a narrow visual focus.

No-one can argue with 1000+kgs of moving metal on the road. Even when your in the right.

yeah didnt the nanny step out on a crossing with her, and the driver was blinded by the sun or something and didnt see them? the second time I mean.

anyway... I have my fine

$133 and 1 point for <15km over

I can live with that

hehe same fine for me.. speeding up into an 80 zone too early and done for speeding. $133 and 1 point for 11kms over.

Personally i think A.C.T should have the same rules as most other states when it comes to school zones, having a gap between 10 and 2 where the 40 zone doesnt apply.

Yeah i thought that would be the case, lucky you got a nice cop, not a super yes sir cop.

Oh noez! How will they raise revenue!!?

Hehe, joking around.

I cant agree more with the above post about the shift of responsibility. EVERYTHING now is about covering your arse and not being held responsible for anything.

Look right, left and right again. Click clack front and back etc are all missing from schools today. Its sad, sad that somone obeying the speed limit and the law in a school zone is blamed for when some little mongrel of a kid runs out onto the road without looking cause mums having a smoke... is it their fault? HELL NO!!! but they still cop the blame and its BS!

    • Sadly I can confirm if you are actually seeking to drift, you will quite easily spin up one wheel. Even if you're going in a straight line. I am not entirely sure of the metrics/terminology here but there's only a certain amount that the helical will actually spin both wheels. I've seen it on video with my own car where two lines of smoke switch over to just one after you really get in to it. Unlike with a clutch diff where you can keep your foot planted until the car regains grip, in my experience with the helical you want to be utilizing traction control allowing LIMITED slip or lifting (partially) when you start to spin up both tyres with a Nissan helical. Which makes them pretty sub optimal for drifting duty. That said... this is probably a helical on numbers alone. Just put the Kazz in
    • Let's just fix the problem by f**king the rest of the gearbox.
    • Unlikely, as per Greg's post. This is not helical diff behaviour unless one wheel is up off the ground. Shimming what? You don't "shim" a mechanical LSD. Probably not in the sense that you have heard of people "shimming" a diff. And the process that Nissan f**kwits call "shimming" a diff involves super-preloading a VLSD cartridge against the side of the diff to create a friction/wear point (in a place that it wasn't supposed to have one) to make the sloppy, useless, viscous diff into a hybrid viscous/mech abortion. In case it isn't clear, I consider the process to be stupid. Nike.
    • How much does the shifter move when the car is in gear with the engine off? If it is more than about 1cm you need to replace your shifter bush. Your shifts will just get crunchier, not faster, with a short shifter unless you also rebuild the whole box
