Hey guys

Tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I have a series 1 R33, I removed the screw that holds the face of the steering wheel. I then removed the nut that holds it to the steering column. Now what am i missing, cause it just won't come off?

Cheers

The steering wheel is on a tapered spline

You should use a puller to remove it

If not, sit in the drivers seat, put the nut back on but leave it loose so that it sits higher then the steering shaft to prevent any damage. Now you need to hit the nut while putting load on the steering wheel and it should pop off. Use a peice of wood end on to hit the nut to prevent any damage to the nut or steering shaft.

Just try to hit it with a quick sharp hit, but too hard.
