Installing A Cat Back Exhaust

I am about to install a cat back exhaust on my r34 GTT and just before i rush off and unbolt everything i am wondering if there is anything i should look out for?

It looks fairly straight forward but i am wondering if i need to coat the ends of the exhausts that come together in anything or if its ok just to bolt them together with that flange bit? in between.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

you are best off going to autobarn/repco and getting some gasket sealant. it doesn't matter so much for the rear section, but where it goes onto the cat is a good idea.

yep bout that and use the right spanners not shifters, some of the bolts will be a right royal pain maybe so dont be scared to use a breaker bar or your foot.

buy some nickel based never-seize for the bolts if you aren't using stainless. Just makes it easier if you or anyone else ever needs to remove the exhaust.

whilst on the topic whats a safe way to change your cat back exhaust. e.g jacks, stands etc
