Need Help Please....limp Mode

My car keeps going into limp home mode, and its really starting to bug me.

the car has a new afm (resoldered & cleaned) and a new air filter. so im guessing its not that

what other reasons does the computer go into limp mode?

Run the diagnostics on the ecu and it show a code if its running in limp mode.

Procedure to do this should be on here if you run a search.

is it probably best to go back to the place where i bought the car when it is in limp mode so he can connect it up to his computer to see.

i ran a search but i couldn't find what to do. eg how to read it, where to read it. lol im so lame

As far as I know, AFM's are unrepairable. If you put solder or anything on a hotwire system, your going to change its readings and response times to air flow change. More metal = slower response to heat up and cool down.

Your computer will tell you straight up if the readings are going out of range. If you get it hooked up to a diagnostic tool.

I think he meant the pcb inside the AFM, not the sensing element itself.

The pins are known to break away from the pcb and cause trouble. You have to pop the top off the AFM to access the PCB assembly.
