hmm thats wierd there always 10cent more than reg unleaded but usally if bp's say 1.18 shells 1.20.

although i went to shell the other day and the sign said 1.11 for reg unleaded, so i pulled in and reg unlead was 1.09 and xtreme was 1.11 HAHA a win at the pump! i was chuffed

My experiences from

BP

Shell

Caltex

Caltex was the first fuel I used. Returned good economy (380km/45L) with a fair bit of giving it a hit. Was quite happy.

I decided to try Shell.

Shell: Car feels a little bit more repsonsive on the shell compared to Caltex just before it comes on boost. But, a drop in fuel economy (even when only cruising)

BP fuel. Miss fired and drove like shit. Will NEVER put it back in a car I own again!

Currently have just thrown a tank of Caltex back in (As local shell was closed at night) and will see the difference in economy.

And my Shell is around 2-4C/L cheaper then the Caltex. And over 45/50L that's only a saving of 90Cents - $2

And at $1.20 per litre, I'm only really putting in an extra litre.

I'll only get 13 extra kays on the shell once I wack in the "extra" $2...

The Caltex I think, will be what I'll be staying on in the future.

Well no matter what fuel (non ethanol based) I use it always returns the same economy... Be it regular unleaded (dialing out 7degree's at wot otherwise it pings) caltex, bp ultimate, mobile etc...

They all pretty much feel the same. Some times the car feels as if its a little down on power then I realise its probably because i've been stuck up it a lot more than usual and have got used to its pick up. Drive it sedately for a couple of days, give it a hit in second and it feels quick again. :D
