lol I think my whole "off to NS" remark for newbies that jump on this forum with no clue or blatantly stupid ideas might be at the root of this issue (based on the fact that NS seems to have a lot more tolerance for em than we do).

not strocking my own cock, but I think once I said it a couple of times some of the postwhores sorta thought it was cool to do so as well.

Meh, I'm active on NS and I go to the meets and know most of the melb regs.... they're quite nice people once you get to know em :)

Heres how I look at it i have been to 1 sau skid pan day (enjoyed it although I had no idea what I was doing) & i have been running vicdrift for a year & been on NS for ages.

SAU - more professional outlook when it comes to cars and events but in my opinion takes a little bit of the fun away ie on the first day I didnt know many people and a few people just seemed to have a problem with the whole drift thing.

NS - every dedicated people behind the curtains but the people that draw the attention to NS are the wankers. Street drifting is BS. but hey it doesnt matter if people are driving imports or commonwhores. they are still going to do stupid shit.

thats the main difference as i see it. SAU really has the outlook of a professional motorsport club & thats what makes it good NS is for the younger age group that are more interested in giving it the boot and getting pulled over. This doesnt mean that anyone is better than the other.

finally on another note.

If you are interested in drifting go to www.vicdrift.com we are running heaps of events next year at winton & hopefully some basic days ( ;-) )

we also have an event on this weekend sat is vdc prac & then a private drift day on monday

    • Thanks for that.... If only I could do something once and be happy with that, like some people do....
    • I had no transmission at all so I managed to find a big box manual gearbox from an R34 GTT for an insanely good price in EU. I converted it to push type which cost more than the transmission almost, with parts from Amayama! These engines are very strong and can put out decent power with a properly sized turbo. You can save on money from parts like pistons and rods, and invest those in the transmission and other parts. I suggest you join the RB20 Enthusiasts facebook group, plenty of info and almost daily posts there about 20DE/DET/Neo+T builds. (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning third party platforms, just trying to help the buddy out)
    • Yeah, having tried all of those methods including BBQ+recipro/hacksaw, I ended up buying a bush press kit under $150 that works well, like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355967727167?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=sfmmuhxgqhm&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=dJvnaZ11TB-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY It basically has a range of pushers and cups with threaded rods between to press out a range of large bushes. The problem with any sawing solution is minimising damage to the subframe side, although it probably needs a quick sand afterwards no matter what solution you try due to damage
    • Hi. Thanks for the answer. I do not have instagram 😄 I too considering turbo the RB20DE NEO 🙂 But i think i upgrade the gearbox first or at least buy new.
