More Boost?

Hi Guys,

I need a little help or better understanding here.

I recently disconected the vacume hoses on my solenoid and ran directly to the actuator to run 0.5bar all the time...

I then decided to drill the hole in the little brass restrictor as described by sydneykid to increase to 0.8bar

Yet after doing so I still only had 0.5bar. So today I decided to pull the restrictor out completely and see if it would run 1bar as I have been told should happen. But even with the restrictor completely gone it maxed at 0.7-0.8

I have double checked the readings with a second mechanical boost guage, and still have the same results, so its not my guage. The car also has a full exhaust including split dump/front, and high flow pannel filter in the standard air box.

Can anyone tell me if these readings sound right as it seems a little low to me? If so any ideas as to what would cause this?

Just keep using bigger and bigger vents.

Arent stock wastegates set to 0.7bar? mine is.

I have been told they are set to 14psi - which is close to 1bar

but if they are set to 0.7bar it would make sense as thats what mine is reaching

My stock actuator is set to 6-7psi

As far as the 1 bar actuators, thats R32 actuators on R33 turbos.
