Been on here for a bit not never got around to posting up, I'm from SA obviously as thats why I'm posting in here. I own a Jet black 1988 HR31 GTS-X, with an rb20det Silvertop conversion.

Specs are -

Stock silvertop with 3" dump / Front Pipe, into a 3" system with a decat pipe, mandrel bent.

K&N pod..

Stock SMIC

Had an o2 Sensor fixed as it was running like crap and it pulled 126.5rwkw on 8psi (stock boost) without the decat pipe.

Rolling Stock - 17x8 17x9 Koya Drifteks powdercoated white. 225's and 235's.

Has standard suss with lowered springs in front n rear, as I got it it had complete aus del front end and ive changed a few things to make it jap once again, car was painted inside and out around 5 months ago.

Have also put on the original stickers that it came with from factory as I thought the black needed a bit of contrast, interior is standard, just put in a boost gauge...stereo is basically standard too.

Will have some serious power lined up for it soon + a new clutch as mine slips on boost when its nice and hot outside. Pics below:

    • Hi all, I am putting an r33 gtst gearbox into a VL and have noticed what looks like a vacuum barb on the box (on top in the middle). Suspecting that it's a vacuum line but I'd like to double check, if someone could confirm the function of that would be great. Cheers in advance.
    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
