My brother has an 89 Skyline GTS-T which I imported from Japan. LOVE that car, but I cant afford one yet since Im a starving student :) lol..

His windshielf was smashed in with a bat. :) Thankfully nothing else was done to the car. As it turns out my brother decided not to fix the lock on his garage door - most likely because he is lazy.

He needs a new windshield. The problem is that the Skylines were never sold in North America.

Does anyone know of a Nissan or Infiniti vehicle which used the same windshield as an 89 R32 GTS-T ???

I am trying to find the cheapest was to get a new windshielf.

Any comments or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated :O

Thanks in Advance

Matty

hmm, the 32 has the atenna in the windshield...so they expensive to replace.

but if ur like me and u dont listen to the radio, u could just go to a windshield place and get a new one put in, instead of a genuine nissan skyline one.

put a std one it, get a $20 behind-dash antenna, be done with it.

Hmm did not know about the Antena. Ya I will deffinately want the one without it - to save cash, and I will install a cheap internal antenna for sure. I did this on my Z to shave the stock Power antena

But I live in Canada. The Skyline does not exist here. I know that worst case I can call Japan / Austrailia / UK and have a windshield shipped over, but I am hoping to save a few bucks (shipping).

I had heard that some Infiniti models were designed based on the Skyline's (of thier respective years). I wondered if this is true, and if the windshielf might be the same. There may have been a model which used the same windshield that was available in North America and making it quicker, easier and cheaper for me to get a new one

Here's for hoping.

Thanks for the info so far guys

Dont bother looking for one with an antenna. The R32 has two antenna's anyway one in the front and one in the back and the rear one is plenty for every radio station i ever bothered to listen to.

A windshield is too large to ship via mail from Japan EMS/Sea shipping is out. Your going to have to find someone shipping containers to Canada.

I thought the R32 market had opened up in Canada and that a few GTR's etc made their way over there. Surely there are some businesses local to you that can offer containers from Japan?

you are correct sir. if Matty-D checks around www.gtrcanada.com i'm sure he can find what he's in search of.

sure has opened up. Any car of atleast 15 years old (as of the manufacturing date - month and year) is easily imported into Canada.

Cars newer then that can be imported from the USA pretty easily (basically make sure any recalls are taken care of and have proof :) ) I imported a BEAUTIFUL 94 Cadillac Eldorado Touring coupe from the USA a few years back

I live in the midle of no where (atleast for a few more months) lol..

thanks for the URL

Thanks again everyone for the advise :D
