What Is This Hose Called?

I just need to know what this hose is called (circled in red) it was brittle and needs to be replaced. Also, if anyone knows where I can buy it from that'd be great too.

If your looking at getting a oil catch can then it would replace that hose. Can pick up catch cans for 80 bucks these days.

BTW Think it's called the oil breather/return hose

Sorry about the noob question, but what does a oil catch can do? ..how does it actually fit on where the hose came from? Any photos would be great.
