One of the downfalls of the SVD club was that there were not enough people at the end who were prepared to be pro-active and get things organised. If you want a cruz then be prepared to plan a meet point and route, then post details with a bit of notice for people and plenty will come.

You have to understand that this is a hectic time of year for most people with family and work commitments, january will be better and right thru till rainy season....

Too few people prepared to pitch in and the club will die... as in SVD.

I suggest you start thinking bout a meet point!? There was also a recent thread about ideas of things to do as a group... check it out.

that i imagine would be a common missconception sure your a "noob" doesnt mean you

1) dont know how to read a street directory

2) cant look @ creating a thread stateing well thought out ideas with dates times (NO MEETING POINTS)

3) use copy and paste when people say i would like a PM

4) make a text document where pasting aforemention names for later referance when u need to mass PM everyone

ie:

Topic Title: Cruise to Lobethal

Topic Description: 25/12/2006

Hi guys Bob here i would like to see a show of hands who would like to come to a cruise on the 25/12/2006 to lobethal

there is a nice bakery there where we can get lunch and a park for the kids with plenty of parking

/end

something like this note the bakery bit is made up you might only know of a car park or oval see how easy it can be topic description doesnt have to include date might wish to say 'meet and greet'

i hope this gives you and others some ideas on how easy it is and please dont forget if you get stuck there are many members here willing to help

EDIT

age is of no relevance if you come across mature and willing to try, a thread title that wouldnt get looked @ is

Topic Title: Blasting Through the Hills

Topic Description: first one there wins

this 1) would not be taken seriously and 2) will get deleted as we do not promoted speeding through the hills or Anzac drag way

Gonna ask, apart from the 2 here that are still around(PSI and INFMS), are there any registered car clubs in SA? Seems some Insurance companies look upon club membership favorably.

(clicky) Sporting Car Club of SA & their V-Max section caters for imports.
