Someone managed to reverse into my parked car the other day and totalled my front bar. They didn't leave any details or anything so I'm going to have to pay for a new bar myself.

UAS wanted $480 to paint and fit their VeilSide copy bar ($695) so all up it would be $1175. This seems a bit expensive to me but I don't want to just get it done cheap as I'm a bit worried that I will end up with someone dodgy like last time.. cracks at the slightest touch and just doesn't quite fit properly.

Has anyone had any experience with UAS putting on a front bar or does anyone have any suggestions of good quality bars and places to put them on??

Without trying to alienate anyone, get a few quotes.

What is this 'fitting' stuff? I can fit one and I know nuzzing.

You just need the thing sprayed and the indicator lights added. There are four bolts that hold the front up.

Is this a trust, jun, waste copy? They look kinda good.

Pictures and details of Andrew's car (including his front bar) are at:

A guy I met in person a few weeks ago has a cousin that ownes Vision, so you may be able to work out something through him.

I think his alias/nick here is "Mac33T" or something similar. He too was wanting a veilside front bar.

EDIT:

I'm back again.

take a look at this recent thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=13281

    • I've replaced the front brakes of my NA to 324 brembos and 350z calipers: i'm going for 225/40-18 up front and 245/35-18 in the back. I have Rays 7.5*19 ET35(225/35) in the front with 5mm spacers otherwise the calipers "lock up/ won't rotate". When i use the calculator i come up with 8*18 ET30 for 225/40...... but not sure i get problems with the calipers. Anyone riding around with 18 inch. that can confirm "that it'll fit"? In the back it's 7.5*9 ET30 (245/30) with the 5mm spacers, but there is no problem with the standard small brakes, so i want to take 8.5*18 ET25 (245/35).
    • Lol.. but then.. always come back to a JDM..
    • Glad to hear. If possible, get your tuner to check air's to make sure everything is still where it should be.
    • The problem with FB/Insta/Reddit etc comments relating to cars is simple. You get to ask a question once, and get one round of replies. For things that can actually be answered in a few lines of text, once, it's fine. After 6 hours, your original question is lost to the void. There are no follow ups, additional questions, anything. No project car is ever such a simple list of questions to ask. You need discussion.
    • Welcome.  Here's what I have noticed about forum vs FB..... FB; seems to be wallet racing, and the same few questions asked over and over. There *may* be some groups that are closer knit, but most have changed for the worse. SAU; unfortunately, no longer in its glory days. But....genuine people with similar interests. Not all about how much you spent and saying you dont have enough power. Sooooooo much knowledge available. Have personally seen people post up about literally topics I made myself, asking on FB like no one has done it before. Most has been done, and most of that is here.   If you ever feel like just general chatting theres the wasteland.  Other interests are also generally covered in other areas of the forum. Hope you enjoy hanging around. We would love to have you.   P.s. nice 32 😀
