If you're in the right spots A, the 1st and last hour of the day are the best times for colour and texture; so in the place you were at, you've done well!

Agree with this Terry, although this spot is better in the morning opposed to the afternoon as the sun is over the ocean and you dont get the shadows from nearby buildings... but they turned out ok after all.. pretty happy with them

Looks fantastic with the bonnet mate. You'll have to update your sig pic now :P

Cheers mate, haha was going to replace it but didnt get one today that I liked that is long and skinny etc... Will do soon though I'm sure.

^^^ very nice Mate, like it with the front diffuser back on! And the plates

^ Will take some better pics when its not so sunny here in Sydney, I just polished her so its pretty hard to look at her in the sun, or take photos.

More close up pics in the detailing section - http://www.skylinesa...nally-detailed/

Thanks mate, wish I had the front diffuser on for the other above photo too, would have completed it.

They were just happy snaps after the detailing process but actually came out pretty good.

Cheers mate, haha was trying to get the sun on the right angle when I parked... Massive car park so was all good ha

Hey Anthony car looks Awesome! The yellow looks much better in person as well

Just curious were did you source your bonnet from and is it original?

Thanks mate, agree the yellow is different in person, and the black wheels show up much better ha.

With the bonnet, I posted a wtb add here and surprisingly within days import monster contacted me saying he had one... I was very lucky I think... And yea it's original, used to be white as there were no yellow vsii's made.

Very nice Pics ...Yellow looks mad.

Also would like to know the story on the bonnet.... dont mind having NACA duct added to my normal bonnet..if at all possible.

Cheers mate.

you can add the NACA duct to the original aluminium bonnet, Terry did this on his black GTR.. turned out really good, but i believe it was slightly easier on that one as it was black, so the tie with the duct was very easy. I considered doing this also, but i wanted to keep my bonnet original, so the cost of buying another aluminium bonnet and modifying that etc.. would have cost too much in the end for me.. I was just lucky to find an original vsii bonnet for a decent price..

there is one for sale atm on here for 3500.. looks in good condition to... but after painting would cost around the 4k mark... alot of money for it, but they are so rare so i guess they can command pretty high prices!

$3500 for the factory vs2 bonnet :O wow these things are worth more than gold these days..

Would you by any chance know what price range your looking at for modifying the original bonnet with the NACA duct ??

the NACA duct its self is cheap, around $50 or less.. then just pending were you take it to fit it and how much paint etc is needed to touch up around it and finishing etc, i would guess that $750 would be more than enough.. maybe around the $500 mark..

i dont think the NACA you buy seperate will have the exact out line of the factory one though... but that could probably be modified to be very close to it etc..

I might go the Carbon Z-tune COPY or nismo S-tune bonnet COPY, being a black car. the Carbon items looks nice on it. The prices people pay for OEM R34 items are crazy. stuff like original rear diffusers, rare M-spec seats, VSII bonnets, Nismo rear lights go for ridiculous amounts these days

    • It can't be some stupidly proprietary video signal coming out of it that only Nissan's can understand. Surely you can just find some generic camera to stuff in there and use hot melt glue/blu-tac/gaffer tape to hold it in place if need be?
    • Update: Tunehouse looked into the problem and identified a wiring issue between the camera unit and the connector. They managed to get it working , but did warn me at some point it will stop working again. From their perspective it is unserviceable and will need replacement. They did some research and found that the new replacement camera would be Approx $1400 supply only (their fitting cost would be $190) . They did provide the part number (28442-JL05B) and a quick google of the part number shows that these are rather expensive brand new (seemingly no longer in manufacture) for the places that still have them in stock, with the used option potentially presenting  the same issue down the track at some unknown point. They are happy for me to supply the part so that they can fit it. Decisions, decisions... I can definitely recommend Tunehouse (thankyou Vee37!). Cost for the diagnosis was as quoted  ($190) , car was ready on time and communication was top notch. Their workshop is super clean and modern, and there was plenty of car candy parked out the front on the day I went.   Would definitely go back.
    • to fix the voltage drop issue I swapped out the old 150amp alternator which turns out is a brand known for having issues and replaced it with the black 180amp alternator beside it
    • For anyone interested, the Way Back Machine has that Japanese website archived with pictures, etc: https://web.archive.org/web/20051023225805fw_/http://www.a31cefiro.com/air_con.htm "Simply swapping the wiring of the harness will not allow it to function properly. For the outdoor air sensor and sunlight sensor, disconnect the wiring connected to CN1-11 of the air conditioning harness from the harness and connect the sensor side wiring to earth. For the indoor air sensor, disconnect the wiring connected to CN2-3 of the air conditioning harness from the harness and connect the sensor side wiring to earth. The connector PIN numbers listed here are the genuine A31 PIN numbers. To avoid incorrect wiring, check with a tester before wiring. Also, disconnect the wiring in a location close to the sensor. The disconnected harness side wiring will not be used, so be sure to insulate it." Wish someone sold a conversion harness to just plug-and-play a Kouki 180sx digital climate control into C33/A31. I'm decent with wiring but feeling kinda lazy about taking this on. Edit: Did some more digging and found a helpful Minkara blog post about the conversion as well: https://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/1831116/car/1360568/2284209/note.aspx "After installation is complete or the battery is replaced, you need to go into self-diagnosis mode and set the internal air recirculation. The way to do it is to "hold OFF with the key on for more than 5 seconds, set the number to 5, then press 卍→C." ↑↑↑It probably won't make sense unless you actually try it (・∀・)." Lol wtf
