R33 Gtst

Hey all

ive asked numerous members, and posted in a couple of threads.

the question i have is

do GTST R33 have a Sump baffle standard. unlike the series1 BNR32?

any info would be handy

so they are not safe to take out on the track. eg drift days?

are they as bad with oil as BNR32

It's not that r ugly poo gtrs are no good to take onto the track. E.g. if you just take a stock one out onto the track, many people have done so and have had no issues at all.

same deal with an r33 gtst.

The issue is, if you have a really quick car, runnign semis etc and hitting really high Gs, then the car will have issues.

gtsts can have the same problem.

keep in mind that most ugly poo gtrs are old and half busted anyways (the cheap ones), so it may actually be a combination of things such as worn oil pump, blocked galleries etc.

yeah. thanks for that. but the GTST is better in oil pickup than the GTR. i just havent heard of GTST oil starving. wher as GTRs do it like its in fashion.

so basically the GTST will be ok for the od track day and drift day.?

fill to the bottom of the top bump on the dipstick and you'll be fine. (ie.. over fill your oil).

I track mine, and that's how I do it.

well my gtst was good for a track day or 2, it did about 50 over 5 years with no oil problems on good semi slicks

all of the rbs have baffles in the sump, but only gtrs seem to have a habit of surging, I guess putting a front driveshaft through the sump compromised the design.
