So need 4 fill-ins atleast

Im overly keen for paintball

As I said on the 17th when the change of date occurred, I can not attend.

It seems to me that a lack of experience with booking/organising has contributed to this possible debacle. But at least someone did try and do something for the group.

Agreeing to a date receiving money for that date, then changing the date without consultation and booking using the received money was a large risk. Many younger people may not have set activities for each weekend but I know I am normally booked a month in advance.

I will post a notice at work to see if anyone wants a game for $25 on the 4th. I need a contact number that I can post in open forum at work for the people to contact the organisors. I suggest everyone who has some kind of work notice board that they can use do the same.

At least the Wheels show is a set date so everyone should be able to attend, right!

Perhaps, but in defence, we had been trying to organise this since the 10th of December :P and it took 3 weeks to get all the deposits, then a further few weeks to decide on a date. When the 25th was totally booked out, it only seemed logical to book for the next available date which was the 4th of March. My apologies that we did not consult each individal member, but no doubt that would have wasted another 2 plus weeks waiting for answers and perhaps with it taking that long, it would have prolonged the date for booking yet again.

Either way,it seems the painball people are laughing all the way to the bank:keeping our deposits without having to lift a finger, all because of our lack of communication. Ah,well:at least we're all the wiser for next time!

The day is booked! has been since the 16th!

The day has been saved and the contact numbers are on the website for ministry of paintball. We have done everything to keep this going and we are sorry that in the end due to everyone's stuffing around we could not get the date that was agreed on so if you do not like the way it was organised then you should of gotten everything in sooner and maybe did more to keep the interest and flow of people coming. but in the end we have down what we could and no we are getting attacked because we are inexperienced hey didn't see anyone else doing anything and what are you crying about you have only lost $25 i actually have lost closer to triple that if it doesn't go ahead as i did purchase the ticket out of my own money. If there is anymore attacking of us from anyone on here i myself will just cancell it as it seems as though it is only those who can not make it due to the inconvience it cause. hey the date isn't good for us either. WE LIVE IN SYDNEY NOW 3-4 trip just to play!!!!

SO we are sorry for the inconvience of the day but it wasn't just our fault!

Ah this sucks... Found out today my JOEs day for defence force (medical and aptitude testing and formal interviews with recruiters) is on the 8th so its propably not the smartest idea for me to go paintballing on the 4th. They are judging me on my fitness and body shape and to be standing in briefs infront of a doctor covered in bruises head to toe... not the best impression. Also being formally interviewed with bruised arms...

basically what im crapping on about is that i cant go paintballing...

Firstly, learn to spell and punctuate at even a third-grade level. You're only highlighting your own stupidity, not something you need any more help with.

We appreciate that Emily (you had a hand in it but I won't dignify you with credit) even thought of this day in the first place, it has been a mix of stuff up's and individuals cancelling (myself included). That said, I was ready for the first one, the second one and pulled out after the third attempt. And be honest, the planning could have been better, but this was your first go so no-one is having a go at you for that (or they shouldn't be at least).

Should have gotten in sooner? several of us were in right from the very beginning and some cancelled due to the constant stuffing around (myself included again) and people like Jayce (who actually have a proper job and work hard for a living. Not expecting you to understand that one there either Daniel) who only have select times off and can't push things back a week later at a whim.

You'll cancel if anyone else complains? Wow, that almost sounds like emotional blackmail, not suprised really, you're great at it.

Simple fact was that some have cancelled because of work commitments that they couldn't get out of because the date was changed. Some have cancelled (and I'm not making this up) because they are upset with you (not so much Emily, just you) and your attitude toward members.

Just for the record however, I cancelled because had I seen you this coming Sunday, I would have put you in hospital. (and not by using paintballs, by the way).

I and many others have had enough of you and your complaining, you have nothing to do with Skylines, don't live here, have had a significant hand in destroying a relationship between 2 members here and have a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y no place on these forums.

Do everyone here a favour, delete your account, leave the forums and crawl back into your hole.

(once again, this is not directed at Emily).

Love always,

Veilside.

P.S. Shell, I'm sorry for the issues this may cause but I've had enough.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaayum!!!

i lol'd again...

-----------------------------

i dont beleive everyone stuffed around. infact i beleive i was last to pay my deposit which only went through a day (or two i cant remember) after the original deadline.

this was waaaay too rushed, and now im out of pocket $25, and if i wanna cry, i will, as its my $25. its ok for ME to comment about my uneventful waste of $25 but who are you to tell everyone its only $25? you dont know anybody on here, what they do for a living, what there financial situation is. infact, i dont beleive anyone "had a cry" about there $25 but im sure if people were asked to throw away $25 they wouldve told you were to go. how could you be out of pocket so much if all our deposits were necessary to make a booking? if anything you should be happy, now the paying party members cant go you can give your mates a free game of paintball!

why do we need to keep the flow of interest? we already paid our deposit? we didnt organise the event.

again, why should i try to keep the interest when everyone already paid there deposit? i paid my money and that was all that was asked.

Well, if the date isnt good for the majority, then why book it? wouldntve hurt to consult with the other paying party members who contributed our $25 each.

Daniel, it seems that alot of other members tried to let it go, even with your immature banter, but you were unable to stop. abit of friendly advice, dont try blackmailing a large tightnit community, it wont work.

If you cant organise an event, dont.

Again, thanks to emily for the idea, but it just didnt work. id also advise to keep emotionally unstable people off our friendly forum. its alot nicer around here without all this drama/smartass bullshit that some newer members seem to bring with them.

you are awesome, in all your awesomeness.

he drove a skyline, and has been a member since 2004. a contributing member to the ACT section infact.

youve been a member for 6 days, and have already caused more headache and drama than any other member...

as ive said multiple times, keep the emotional shit off our forums. nobody cares, and if we do we'll ask via PM. it seems all you want to do is try and push some other members buttons, and wont stop until someone gives you what you want and bites back.

just stop humiliating yourself and leave the forums mate.

    • Any number of different ways. Have the coils draw sufficient current to provide contact wetting. Use different contacts in the switch, either by material or design, better suited to the low current drawn by a relay coil. Etc.
    • Hmm, how does the R34 manage to have headlight relays then without getting excessive carbon buildup on the headlight switch contacts?
    • Not R7R. Meant to type R&R, obviously enough.
    • Bugger "making it look stock". I put one conventional internally fused Hella relay behind each globe. I just pulled the plugs off the back of the globes and built new loom segments with male and female plug parts to match up to the original loom and the globe, and used the original power wires to each globe coming from the switch through the original loom plug to trigger the relays. Ran a big fat (also separately fused) power wire across the front of the car to feed all the relays. It's as ugly as f**k, but it is wedged down between the headlight and battery on the RHS and the airbox and headlight on the LHS, and no-one ever looks in my engine bay, and on the odd occasion that they do I simply give no f**ks for what they think. Fully reversible - not that you'd ever want to. For f**k's sake. It's a Skyline. They made million of the bloody things. We've been crashing them into roadside furniture for 30 years now. There is a negative side effect to putting relays on the headlights. The coil current is too little to properly clean the contacts in the switches and they get blacked up and you have to open them up every couple of years and clean them manually. I have 25 years of experience on this point.
    • I was poking through the R34 wiring diagrams vs R33 and noticed that the R34 has proper headlight relays while the R33 is like the R32 and sends full headlight power through the headlight switch. I'm not afraid of wiring but I really would like to do this in a way that looks OEM (clipping into open positions on the OEM relay box) and also unlike the factory wiring which interlocks the high beam and low beam on the halogen series 1 GTR headlights I want to make it such that turning on the high beams keeps the low beams on as well. Any advice on how to locate the specific connectors + crimp terminals + relays I need? I was thinking one NO relay for low beams and another for combined high + low running off the factory high beam headlight connector. I don't really want to splice into a crusty old probably discontinued factory harness so fully reversible is my goal here.
