Can anyone say, Camel Toe?:(

I just finished watching it (I taped it) and I don't think Rick should be satisfied to say that he was the fair winner. Lowndes was more likely to win because he had a better car. It's bad that Garth did so much blocking to slow Craig down in the 2nd race. Lowndes blocks once in the third and Rick took him out. Just shows to me how good lowndes is as a driver. Everyone knows it. He's just a notch better than the rest and he deserved the win. Oh well bring on next year.

While Lowndes might have had the better car, clearly Kelly had the better team.

Better team? I say dirtier team.

Mating call of the loser.

Holden won within the bounds of the rules. That Ford wasn't in a situation where they could box Kelly in just shows how far behind the pace their cars or drivers are. Aside from Ford's star driver, they couldn't get enough competitors up into the pointy end of the field to advance their team's cause.

Within the rules yeah for sure but if kelly didn't hit him Lowndes would more likely have won. Kelly can't be satisfied with that as a fair win.

Lets all get our cars to get to the front just to stop the faster car from getting away. Yeah awesome...

Mating call of the loser??? what are you.. national geographic?

Yeah, and if everyone just pulled out of the race Lowndes would more likely have won too. Or if everyone just pulled out of the way and lifted off the throttle whenver Lowndes approached, he'd more likely have won.

Please. Have a whinge.

Last time I checked they were racing for position, not running in a time attack. And when you race for position, you have the right to defend that position. If the the contact was anything but a racing incident, the stewards would have done something during or after the race.

From my perspective (given that I don't follow V8 Supercars, and I couldn't give a toss about Ford nor Holden but I do like motorsport, is pretty independent) it looked to me like Lowndes drove into Kelly.

If you look at the side angle shot, you can see Lowndes angle across the road to avoid running into the back of Todd. When you see the in-car footage from Rick's car, the white line marking the edge of the track is right next to the car (showing that he's at the extreme edge of the track), and doesn't change at all. So Rick never deviated from his line all the way up to the moment of impact. And, at that point in the track (high speed and deep into the braking point of a pretty tight turn) there's very little margin of error to steer around in at the best of times, let alone being on the wrong side of the track for the race line.

With Rick at the extreme right of the track, and Lowndes occupying the middle, there was nowhere for Rick to go. If he'd gone any further right he'd be on the grass, which would have had him either spin out or lose grip in the braking zone. If he'd gone left, he would have clipped the tail end of Lowndes car anyway. The difference being that, in that situation, he actually would have been at fault. So he held his line, and Lowndes tried to cut in and ended up clipping him instead.

Lowndes got blocked by a very slow moving Todd, pure and simple. And instead of passively allowing himself to get ganged up on by the opposing team, he decided to try and muscle into a gap between the two Holdens that simply wasn't there. An aggressive move, one that I'd expect from a racing driver in championship contention, but evidently the wrong one. And paid the penalty for his error in judgement.

You have to actually be, you know, fast to get all your cars up to the front. How the f**k do you get a slower car in front of a faster car, unless they're being lapped (which wasn't the case here). It sounds like you have little to no idea about how motor racing actually works.

So, QED when it comes to my comment about Ford not being able to string a decent team of drivers and cars together since evidently Holden was dominating the top of the field.

HSV/HRT TEAM will probably not be owned by the same mob (Walkinshaw) next year so it might be better for competition.

TWR sold HSV to Mark Skaife in 2003. He's back managing it, but he's certainly not the owner anymore.

Does your ignorance know any bounds?

    • Man, I'm kind of amazed that the price of the turbo has not changed in 7 years. Everything else is inflating beyond reason, but not this? Good on Tao / hypergear I guess? Anyways, good luck with the sale!
    • I'm selling my brand new, in the box, never used Hypergear ATR45 - and I had some additions I paid for a few yrs back when I purchased it. Never ended up having the rest of the money to add all the mods at once, so I just ended up slowly selling each part. I originally had it internally gated, with the dump pipe, however I found it was incompatible with what I was going to use it for, so I contacted (I think Ken) from Hypergear, and he and I messaged back and forth & he got me to ship the turbo back, where they modified it & made it externally gated, and gave me the 5 bolt dump pipe attachment for custom welding. (Photos below) This turbo like I said has never touched the inside of an engine bay, it's completely brand new, never used, been sitting in the same box it arrived in, covered in plastic & all. Below are the photos of it: And while the guys at Hypergear were making it in-shop, they sent me some photos of the process: I'm looking at selling this just because I'm in need of the money right now, and don't have plans on modifying the 34 anytime soon - and from reviews & peformance sheets, this turbo had amazing results back when I was researching. The turbo was purchased in 2018 for $1.9k, with the mods I got added on. Looking at the website now, for the same turbo they sell (ATR45SAT), with the current addons it adds up to $1830 for the turbo Current addons included: - Bolted dump adaptor - Ball bearing CHRA - Braided oil feeding line So I'm looking to possibly sell it for around $1800, with shipping included in that 1.8k, It cost me around $120 to ship - so yeah thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone was interested in purchasing. Cheers!
