Hi,

i'm probably up for some new tyres really soon, and also been looking at upgrading to 18" rims, so to save buying 17" tyres and then going out and getting a brand new set for the 18"s, i might just skip the 17" bit.

But the rims i'm after, and absolutely love, aren't going to be the best fit on the front.

R34 GTT

18 x 9.5 + 35mm.

Ok for the rear, not too cool for the front. Plus it's probably not the best idea to get the same size rim all around on a RWD car. What i was wondering was whether it's possible to shave down the middle bit of the rim? So basically making it sit in the arches a bit more? Or is this just a silly idea?

the only other rim size available (in 18") is 18 x 9.5 + 25mm, so i can't go down in size if i get these rims.

cheers,

daniel
