there is a lot of nice cars in that group. just dont see how they can sell them, not in this country anyway, would be hard to sell being how noticeable they are.

but so now they have stolen them, what exactly are they going to do with the parts, its not like u could sell half the stuff onthem ppl woudl most likely notice it. carbon fibre doors for evo and stuff , its not like u wouldnt be sus if some1 asked you to buy some..... plus full house tomei engine etc or massive single turbos.....

had to be an inside job, such nice cars, i think by the time they recover them they'll be stripped and burned, such wankers in our society, hopefully they find those responsible

could have been, i guess we will never know...

i saw on the news like 3 days ago that they busted a illegal crime syndicate in sydney brought down 28 ppl, seized 2 bombed wrx's, house, cars, ski boat they had everything aye, it was crazy.

you break it down sell them in small quantities interstate as well. I mean I don't think may people remeber their engine number, and half the other pieces have no serial numbers

u could do it but alot of the stuff say from like that drag car etc could only be used for drag racing etc, would have no use on the streets. but i wonder where they are hiding 5 cars, would be hard to hide one let alone a bright yellow drag car lol

Reminds me of a few years back, some dude rocked up to indooroopilly shopping center with a car carrier, went thru the carpark pointed to all the cars he wanted, and just loaded them on the truck and took off!

Most people who are that organised have buyers before taking the stuff. Bit daft to take so much gear and have to leave it laying around where you could get caught with it.

id probably just keep em in the shed for a few years - start em every couple of weeks. let it cool down. and just be thrilled to know i have the said cars in my posession. Then start sellin stuff off as i need cash lol. im sure that you could keep one car whole and sell parts of the others to make more than enough to make the first one ur own and unique. youve gotta realise - a lot of people dont CARE if shit is stolen. As long as they get a good price for their upgrade.

BTW such people should be KNEECAPPED and just F#$%ED UP in general. if i find anyone thats touched my car you are a GONER cos its LOW. earn ur own shit - thats the best part of owning such cars - yeah i worked hard for this and its mine.

How long have you been a member again? :( (kidding)

I personally would drive the cars to the owners house, hand over the keys, give him my details and tell him he can pursue the matter as he will once i have returned everyone elses's cars...

I really hate car theft.

I really hate car theft.

i had my first car stolen. granted, it was an XF falcon, but it was my pride and joy, and seeing as i didnt have the money at them time, a lot of time and effort went into that car.

I left it by the side of the road in chermseid, quickly took out my head unit so it wasnt nicked, ent back a week later, car was goooone. Just a 20yr old falcon, but it was MY falcon. If anyone is against theft, its me.

PS been about the traps here for more than a year bud. And im the only one within 100KM of my house who is lol

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
