Hey today i installed a turbosmart boost tee directly between the ic piping and the wastgate actuator. At first i was pleased as it was reaching about 9-10psi by 3500 then holding till redline  , so the gain had increased nicely. However when i change gear the next gear has no boost! :) and it has to build again... Any ideas on how to change this, why is the wastegate staying open during changes? it never used to. any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

I will double check it all, its just that it only started when i installed the boost tee. Full boost till redline then shift and back to 0psi and then it climbs again.... without the boost tee it is fine, anyway to change this?, or is the controller just sh%t?

Had the same problem with mine, worked well for 6 months then all of a sudden did the same thing yours is doing, wouldn't get full boost until 6000rpm in second after going flat out in first. Changed to a GFB boost controller and problem solved.

I was just watching my defi guage replays, and my turbo tech buils boost in first gear, when i change to second boost drops down the vacum but then instantly goes back up to 0.7BAR.

Is this normal? Or do you mean when you change the boost drops down to 0 then slowly has to build up again?

cheers

the boost is at 10psi then when i shift it goes back to 0 and starts to build again, takes a good couple of seconds to build up again, its really noticable, feels like there is a huge lack of power when you engage the next gear. only did it when i installed the controller. i have already removed it...

what r33silvers2 is saying is that when he gets on the gas after selecting the next gear the boost sits at 0 for a bit before it starts building again, instead of going pretty much straight up to the boost it is set at.

on gear changes the gauge should go into vacuum.
