my r33 gtst was stolen and written off last week ;) . im now looking at buying r33 gtr and want to know if i should buy a stock v spec, or a slightly moded one. when modded what should i avoid ie:-what type of power can the stock fuel system happily support?? I have read the tutorial on buying a skyline, but i want to know more specificaly about what to look for in a r33 GTR. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. if it helps my budget is roughly around 27 to 36.

Cheers Aaron

I bought a stock very low kms S3 V-Spec. Best car I have owned to drive, very reliable so far too (granted only a few months). I would go stock or mild mods, in best condition, latest model and lowest kms you can for the most trouble free ownership. I am very happy with my purchase... just needs more power now! ;)

Depends what you want?

If you want to get a stockish one and leave it stock, then get a nice stockish one..

If you want a modded/fast one then get one thats got the mods you already want or as close to it.

Buying stock and spending tens of thousands of dollars is silly.... even thought most of us have done it

What are the problem area's to look at on R33 GTR's? With the R32's theres the rust issue to contend with, so i'm thinking of giving them a skip and switching straight up to an R33 GTR.

Is there a buyers guide/checklist on the forum that has all the area's to checkout when buying an R33GTR ?

This isnt "specific" to a certain model

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=35129

But it covers pretty much everything that needs to apply.

There really isnt anything that is missed, so it really doesnt need to be specific IMO.
