That corolla/nova had a 20 valve, was actually pretty quick in a straight line! Stayed with our skyline down the front straight!!

The oil was from a young bloke in an RX4... he was pitted next to me. Plumed out blue smoke, he pulled up after turn 2 to assess. Limped it back to the pits.

I think he blew the hose off the oil cooler.

The poor Datto 1600 was covered in oil (was right behind him) and I got nice and out of shape at about 120 clicks on the main straight when I caught the slick...
