even tho there are some hard cases in prison (murders and rapists etc) they always put pedophiles separately otherwise those other prisoners would probably bash and rape the shit outa them

Yeah its called the disturbed and vulnerable unit - for the rockspiders, slashers, self harm etc. Personally I think let them integrate with the normal prison population and allow natural selection to take its course.
