The problem with my Afm required it to be internally repaired (the solder joints on the inside of the plug to the afm's circuit board Under that square black cover) a clean wont do unfortunately.

It would be better for you to swap it with a known good working unit to test.

i spoke to dr-drift aka sam and hes on to something, he said that maybe theres a problem with the solinoids that are on the hicas steering, now that would explain why it only does it to the left, maybe theres a short or it robbing power away from the fuel pump??? sound logical

well i unpluged the computer under the parcelself and it still did it,and i think the hicas system is hydraulic. Sooo where do i go from here??? now i know it doesent do it in reverse on when u go forward, and it even does it when you going walking pace to the left, soooo maybe its some sensors somewhere, is there any sensors in the steering rack????? also when u hear backfiring noise that mean rich fuel mixtures cause thats what its doing after the steering wheel goes back to straight, which make me think that maybe its not playing with fuel pump but maybe spark??? does that sound right???

Sounds like something to do with the fuel pump..or even something silly like fuel line being twisted or pinched or something as you turn. Check your fuel filter as well, can't hurt to replace.

Backfiring is overly rich yes.. i get it with low-grade fuel sometimes as well.

The skyline fuel filters are replace type only Z200 I think.

You in your profile state your car is an r31 coupe is this the Rb20 equiped model? if so on the drivers side of the engine bay is all the soildnoids and hydrolic sensors May be you could un plug them an see if the car still plays up also thats the same side as the fuel lines check as someone else stated that the fuel line is not fouling with the steering rack(getteing pinched) . Still dont rule out the Afm until you have swapped it with a known working unit.

well i changed the sparkplugs and its kinda better now,but i found that the 2 plugs that go into the igniter box thing at the back of the engine, when i fiddle around with them then it stops, i tried to do some fixing to the plugs but its a no go,so which makes me now think its the igniter pack thing, does this thing stuff up much???
