Air Con Condensor

well ive gone without aircon for a while cause my condensor has had it, one of the tubes have split.

this is all well and good because i dont really care for aircon and was thinking about chucking out the compressor all together but i might keep it if i can make it smaller.

what i was thinking was to grind out half of the core and get it aluminium welded. what effect would it have on the system?

Im not 100% sure but my guess is it wouldnt be as effective ie: wouldnt be as cold. Works like any other heat sink.

If you don't care for it, then just rip it out as well as the compressor.. might as well save some weight. Dosn't really seem worth the extra dollars to make a smaller one, when your AC is only going to be less efficient.
