LOL i thought that was only me hahaha, always happens without fail. but i read that if you put both your feet on the ground before touching the door it wont do it.. ive been doin that method for about 1-2 weeks now and seems to be working well lol

It's not the car, it's your clothing. Too much polyester / synthetics. When you are jumping around in the seat, the rubbing of you clothes on the cloth of the seat generates a static charge.

To avoid the jolt, make sure you have a hold of the door frame as your foot touches the ground.

Correct, as far as my experience goes too.

I only get the shocks from ONE pair of shoes that I own, regardless of the car I've just driven, so it's not a problem with the Stageas themselves. As far as having both feet on the ground, I can be completely out of the car, and still get a shock when I go to close the door.

No, you need to be in contact with a metal part of the car as you get out. Once you are out, it's too late.
