scratched a bloody rim when my girl was nattering in my ear while I was trying to park. goddamn it I have never in my life guttered a car, let alone with my brand spankers new wheels. urgh.

So now I am on the search for someone to fix the rim. It's just a nasty scratch around about 6" long around the outer rim of one wheel (shadow chrome finish). It did not buckle the rim though it might need to be refinished in the shadow chrome finish.

I have so far found the following businesses, does anyone have additions or recommendations?

- all mag wheel repairs ingleburn

- all aluminium welding chipping norton

- Custom wheels Lansvale

- bob jane tmart blakehurst

- morton and may wheels warwick farm

I will take a before and after pic with whomever I use so yall can see their work...

Thanks!

Hey, welcome to the club!

I drove my last car for eight years and never scrapped a wheel. Since owning my gtr, still a perfect record until, the past few weeks. I've done it twice. Can't beleive it as I'm always so carefull. Minor damage but not happy. At least my wheels are painted not polished so $80 should fix it. :( Good luck, the pics look nasty.

OOOhh spewing buddy. Hate it when that happens.

Those of you who are fortunate enough to have painted outer lips.. and want to fix it at home, here's what you do. Using a rough metal file, file it flat. Then use reinforced metal filler apply over the scrubbed out portion, file this down to a smooth finish. Then use metal prime and either touch up or paint with an airbrush. It'll look as good as new.
