Diff Whine

Anyone else had a diff whine from the rear in their Stag? Mine is from about 80-100km/h an only under deacceleration. At the recent QLD stagea meet, mine was the one with the most mileage (132,XXX) , dunno if this could affect it. I suggest keep an eye on your fluid though....

try Nulon additive for manual and diffs additives . It works wonders it should quite down your whining

i've got 180,000 and had no problems with diff yet. i have however had to replace my wheel bearings as they were making a terrible noise from the rear at high speeds.

they sell a gearbox additive, only 1 to choose from....can't hurt....new fluid might also be worthwhileif you don't know when it was changed last

Sweet, i will keep my eye out. I will check the fluid next time in on the hoist. Chances are its like mud.

Try replacing your diff bearings or putting a banana peel in your diff if thats a bit too expensive atm.

Lol, banana peel. I changed both front and rear diff fluids at work yesterday. looked like they had been changed before which was good. Im yet to get the additive though
