my rear are 265/35 R18 by 9 and my fronts are 225/40 R18 by 9 inches the tyres ive got on are brigestones SO2's

i just need to flare it out abit so it wont touch are there any people in melbourne in the western subs that does this?

rolling the guards doesnt sound like it'll help...you need actual flaring....

look on nissansilvia.com...there's a guy that rolls and flares guards...i'd say with the amount you want it flared, factor in $ for a respray :(

most panel shops can flare guards, but 1 inch is alot, and could look silly, + you will most likely have to respray the rear quarters as you will flake/chip the paint in the process.

are the rims 2 peice rims or anything ?

is this on a 32. 33 or silvia or?

2 peice rim on a R33...well look 1inch 2.5cm ish the tyres are rubbing the rear lip when evan i gove over a bump a farely descent sized one and wen i have more than 2 people

rolling the guards! how much can you bring it outs? in 10mm or 20mm i dont want to have to do a respray it would be a bish at the moement wat abt harder springs? ive got bilstine's on the car atm :( sorry for spelling

2 peice rims

beautiful

was hoping you would say that ...

u can order a rim (outside part excluding the centre) to the desired offset, well the correct offset and simply bolt your centre back in and ur done. Depending on the brand of wheel also.

dont stuff around with the guards, they look stupid flared unless u cut them off and put gtr guards on, or get a crappo wide body fibreglass thing and cut the shit out of the guards anywho ..

even lipping the guards there is a danger in damaging the paint no matter how good the person is at doing it, especially if its been sprayed at a panel shop outside the factory.

the coat of paint is thicker, and the grade of paint could be poor.

Try to get a new outside rim for your wheels.

Sounds to me like you've got the wrong offset...

I've got 18x9 +35 on the rear of my 33, with 255's and they don't rub at all....I had 265's on at one stage and they didn't rub either...

yeah my 225/40s are fine on the fronts no probz just the rear my 265/35's are the probz wat is the offest surpost to be? and wat camber are have u got ur car on atm?

try raising your suspension.. it may actually improve your handling.

i thought the lower ur car the better the handeling and also if u had adjustable sway bars to stiffen ur body is this correct or not? :(

my wheels also stick out a tiny bit at the back..

since i got whiteline suspension stuff the car sits 1cm lower or so but it doesnt rub against the guards as much now.. only when i go over stupid train tracks and crap.

with the stock suspension it would rub when there was 3 ppl in the car and u were just driving along normaly.

rubbing would occur wen 3 or full load is in the car over bumpz or turning i think i need to harden up the rear any thoughts abt that pplz? so at least i can carrie a full load with out it touching as much.....and wat is this whiteline suspension sutff? :(

not necessarily.. depends on your setup. sometimes too low is not going to give you enough suspension travel, thus making handling worse.

atm it handles really good i like it sits nice looks good however the slight rubbing is eating away my tyres thats the bad thing

ok soo far the things

get new rims

change the centre bit of the rim get correct offset

and rise the car up :(

soo once agn wat abt making the suspentions harder like just enough so it isnt going to touch evan with a full load?

    • I much prefer that to an actual oil pressure issue, never would of thought it would of been a volt drop issue but SAU brains win again. Guess ill be turning down the oil pressure limit for the track and hunting some grounds. Ill hopefully update this thread with some high oil pressure and solid ecu voltage logs.
    • You've just discovered a really good reason to tell yourself, yes, I do need to buy an aftermarket ECU. Put the MAF in the bin. Slap in the new ECU and have a think about what turbo sounds you prefer.  Do you want a 90's style BOV wooosh? Do you want a hektik tsututututu?  Mate, can't go wrong. Just gotta get that ECU and the world is your oyster.
    • Hi. Iam just curisou about this topic. I saw this video. It is about Greddy Type FV2. I know that BoVs are about that sound but how and when to use it? I read some topic here and from what i have understand on stock RB with MAF there will be some "problems" if you use this BoV? It vents the air in to the atmosphere and the MAF on stock car needs this air back in to the intake and not out? Or is it wrong? If so...i saw you can put some adaptor to circule air back...but does that not "loose" that sound? I saw another BoV from Turbosmart and it has two "exhaust" like ports? One is for the stock tubing for letting air back and one is for "sound" and let the air in the atmosphere? Can someone please explain? This is the Greddy one:  And this is the Turbosmart.     THANK YOU!! EDIT: So i read about this topic some more and i if i understand that correctly: That Greddy can function either like BoV or 100% Bypass valve? And that Turbosmart is what they called hybrid so you can adjust what and how many air can be vented out or back in? Is this right? THX!
    • That dirty voltage drop is the culprit I suspect
    • i cant get them all in 1 screenshot unfortunately as i just dont know how to move things around tbh, but they are all from the same log and the line crosses at the same point for all of them
