i blew a fuse when i was installin neons

but i dont know which fuse it acutally is.

i cant even foolow it cos its in dash and so many wires.

wat can i do???

Have you checke all the fuses under the dash. This is where MOST of the fuses are housed. Right hand side of steering column, there is a panel about 75mm wide with a recess to pull it out with. Then you will need to locate the blown fuse, not real easy, but that's life.

stop fooling with your car and take it to someone before you do some serious damage..

wtf r u talkin bout ????

whats the point in being a car enthusiast if u dont do the shit urself.

its part of it.

and i enjoy givin it a go .

instead of just denieing being able to do it .

i had already got the whole thing working and connected.

it was only because the postitive and negative connection touched.

....

thats how u learn,

by making mistakes.

not gonna do serious damage.

By crossing positive and negative connections, it is possible you can do serious damage. Airbag systems, ECU, dash lights, bulbs, etc - all possible to mess them up by not taking appropriate precautions. Such as disconnecting the negative battery terminal from your car when working on anything electrical in your car.

Take the advice of a previous poster and check your fuses. Also consider searching the forum, as this is a common problem which has been asked several times in the last month.

the fuse that you would have popped would be the ones under the dash.

prob one of the lights fuses, cant tell you exactly which one of the top of my head, but grab a multimetre and put it on each one and see which one it is.

i did the exact same thing buddy, just in case you havnt figured it out already its simple...just change the (electronics part fuse) in the fuse compartment under your steering wheel. Its the 4th last 1 on the left hand side of the fuse box. Replace it with a 10A and your up n going again.

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
