How much for a 1997 R33

G'day All,

Please excuse my ignorance, however the lure of a R33 has always appealed to me, but it has only been recently that I can actually afford one. The problem is I can only get a 1997 model due to leasing options, so I was hoping if you guys could give me an indication on possible models and their associated prices.

Personally would prefer something in the turbo range

'97 GTS25t (Series 2) - 2WD single turbo, would set you back ~$25K.. probably less, but depends what extra bits your car comes with.

'97 GTR (Series 3) - 4WD twin turbo, would be upwards of $50K (landed, complied and rego'd).

Yes that is indeed exactly the info I'm after. I only really have $25K max to spend so yep, looks like the GTS-t may be the way to go. Thanks heaps!

25K landed and complied will be tough for a 97 also given the x rate has slipped.. 97's seem to got for quite a bit more... Bidding on one today 97 with quite a few mods, if we get it will be around the 26 mark... I'll let you know

dude that was so hectic. i didnt even look at the date i was thinking wtf is this person joking about ~25k for a r33 gts-t???!!!

in all retrospect this was 6 years ago. you could probably pick up a 97 model for ~13 with mods. so a 10 grand drop in 8 years aint that huge i guess. these cars were sold initially i think for ~45 brand new. when you calculate depreciation that way they havent depreciated too badly. theyre just old now.
