Agreed.

As for acid dipping, just ring around a few mechanics who do engine-out jobs, that'd be a good start. When you do any sort of work which requires a bit o disassembly, most (if not all) places have the parts acid-cleaned before checking and replacing them.

Any chroming shop will dip them. From memory it cost me about $40 (in newcastle)
