i was driving home last night, going along in second at about 40kmh and i gave it a quick squirt for something to do and it just started dancing up the road for about 20m before i lifted off with a smile on my face.

i think i might throw my other spare set of tyres up on the roof of the house to let them harden up.

Wellll. What we say is buy the best tyres you can afford. Its one place where skimping a bit to save $10 a corner just isnt worth it. I've got $1300 worth of tyres on my car, just on 17s to give an idea on how important I feel tyres are. The way I saved the money on tyres was changing the rear size to a 235 which in my tyres is apparently more popular, therefore cheaper.

Ok, try this place,

I still prefer to pick a quality tyre, but 2nd hand (70-80% tread).

Approx $80 - $100.

Let Mick know you got this off the Skyline website and he'll sort you out.

They also have semi slicks as well.

Just call them first to see what stock they have.

I think the next shipment will arrive in the new year - in time for the next track day, fingers x

i got 235/40 18 nexcens on the rear. I think there a very average tyre. There good if your just doing normal driving but for a performance car i think there the budget choice. Thats why i got them cause i was a little short at the time.
