How is this for hypocrisy ?

The G'ment cracks down on HP Import owners that modify their cars.

BUT

I can get a $2000 grant back from the Govenment for fitting a Diesel/Gas system to my Turbo Diesel Pajero - giving it 20%-30% more power and torque.

The DieselGas system is an LPG system that is computer controlled - squirts a small amout of LPG into my intake (eg like NOS) - and gives me huge power gains. (and economy, and cleaner oil, and no black sooty exhaust).

The sysem is gonna cost me $3800 - but I get $2000 back from the G'Ment so only costs me $1,800 - For 20%-30% more power and torque guaranteed.

well we use a Nissan navara ST-R for towing cars to the track etc (it's my friends truck) and it's pretty sweet. he bought it brand new, and the first thing we did to it (within a week of ownership) was buy a re-programmed ecu for it (yes there are diesel performance tuners out there) and a boost controller. we cranked up the boost, and fitted the new ecu and it's a different beast. very easily lights the tyres. it revs to a massive 5000rpm lol, and makes full boost by about 1800rpm. lots of torque, great for towing. maybe we should look at lpg diesel for that too.

i just looked at the site. that looks pretty sweet. some of their cars made massive gains. sounds very promising.
