I currently have a 3" system, i'v always wondered would it be worth upgrading the dump pipe to a split dump pipe. The exhaust that i have is not stainless steel but i really like the way it sounds, so would the sound change at all? what i wanna know is it worth the money, will i get any performance increase?

thanks

You should notice a little more response in turbo spool, and a little more power. I say that most people who have split dump pipes would say that it is worth spending the extra cash. As for sound it will change the note a little bit as the exhaust is less restrictive, it should make it deeper if anything.

You will get more cabin noise as the cast iron dump is far quieter. But if you heat wrap the stainless dump this will make it comfortable. And yes, there is a noticable difference but mostly when you go bigger turbo and up boost.
